Colorful Tanabata festivals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanabata) are held across Japan in early July and August... this year, a mini Tanabata Matsuri was held in Kuching on 3rd July, 2011 (Sunday), made possible by PAAM (Persatuan Alumni AOTS Malaysia), Sarawak Kho Clan Association, Youth Section and Hippo Members.
The Kosumi family from Japan are Hippo members who were in Kuching to help organize the event .
