Autumn comes to Kuching

After a deserving afternoon rain, Autumn has quietly knocked on the door of Kuching ...

Very beautiful photos of the leaves.
I'm trying to understand why you're experiencing fall and not spring since you're above the equator. Is it because you're so close?

Hi Sill, Welcome to my blog and hope to see you again real soon :)

That's a good question Kerri...

Here in Malaysia we have equatorial/tropical climate, no four seasons (i.e., spring, summer, autumn & winter)like what you have there. We have only the dry and wet seasons, depending on the monsoons.

The temperatures ranging from 23° to 31°C / 73° to 88°F throughout the year with high humidity and abundant rainfall (averaging about 250 cm/100 in annually) with the heaviest from October to January.

So now in March, we are gearing towards the dry season with the temperature climbing steadily.

Hence, when I said "Autumn has quietly knockned on the door of Kuching", it's a metaphor ...

The rain has made the otherwise hot weather of Kuching turned into pleasantly cool weather, albeit temporarily, coupled with the fallen leaves (caused by the rain & wind), it does create an impression that we are experiencing autumn ... :)

I am glad that you asked the question :)

I learnt something today, or you remind me an important lesson about photography : not taking picture at men level; but experiencing, taking pictures at ground level for instance.
Your focusing on the leaves at the foreground is well-thought.
Colors especially are very gorgeous, but I can't congratulate you for this, just the Nature ; )
Have a great week-end.
