Officially incorporated on 24th December 1992, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is the 8th public university in Malaysia. Currently, it has a total student population of 7,113 and the total staff number is 1,795.
Located at Kota Samarahan, the administrative centre of the Samarahan Division, UNIMAS is linked to Kuching City via a modern 25km highway and is a mere 30 minutes' drive from Kuching city centre.
