汉省华青团于2008年9月21日至24日受中国广东省人民政府侨务办公室之邀，前往广东省珠江三角洲作为期4天的经济考察。

《珠江三角洲的经济奇迹》一文记录了整个活动的过程。

On the 21st to the 24th days of September, 2008, the Federation of Kuching and Samarahan Divisions Chinese Associations Youth Section, Sarawak was invited by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, China for a 4 days familiarization tour to Zhujiang (Pearl River) Delta, Guangdong Province.

五千元的神话

Midea's RMB ¥5000 Success Story

1968年，何享健先生带领23人集资5000元在北窖创业。1980年生产电风扇，进入家电行业，1981年正式注册使用“美的” (Midea)商标，1985年开始制造空调，1999 “美的” 商标被评为“中国驰名商标” ， 2002 年冰箱公司成立，2007年，美的集团荣登“ 2006年最受赞赏的中国公司-全明星榜” 。同年6月，美的当选环球企业家杂志、罗兰•贝格咨询公司联合评定的2007年度“最具全球竞争力中国公司20强” 。

Starting with an initial investment as little as RMB ¥5000 in the production of bottle lids in Beijiao in 1968, Midea's founder He Xiangjian has successfully turned Midea into a well-known home appliances producer in China.

Midea started with the manufacture of electric fans and as time goes by it then embarked on a wide variety of electric appliances, such as air conditioners, rice cookers, microwave ovens, heaters, water dispensers, dishwashers, domestic gas appliances, vacuum cleaners and etc.

2007年，美的集团整体实现销售收入达750亿元，同比增长30%，其中出口额31.2亿美元，同比增长40%，预计2008年将实现销售收入880亿元，其中出口36.6亿美元。在“ 2007中国最有价值品牌” 的评定中，美的品牌价值跃升到378.29亿元，位居全中国最有价值品牌第七位。

用5000元所创造出来的神话还在延续 ...

9月23日，我们行程的第一站，就是去参观这位于佛山市顺德区由何享健先生用5000元创造出来的神话的梦工厂和总部。目前，美的集团员工有近8万人，是一家以家电业为主，涉足房产，物流等流领域的大型综合性现代化企业集团，旗下拥有两家上市公司，四大产业集团，并拥有美的，威灵等十余个品牌。
